One of the key features of the system is flexibility and configurability throughout the whole system. The basic concept in which the system is designed are user-defined business objects and their parameters. StarINS is process-oriented instead of product-oriented, i.e. it contains a rich toolset and user defined business objects that enable to define any line of business, even very specific products, without need to make interventions into the source code of the application. New products are defined online, via user interface using the building-block structure concept of the insurance product.
